Spend the afternoon discovering what Indiana was like before statehood. Visit the Battlefield Museum to understand the Native American Confederacy and how they hoped to preserve their lifestyle. Walk in ther recreated paririe at Historic Prophetstown, learn how the Native Americans, the settlers, and the farmers of the last century used this land. Visit Prophetstown State Park and the Wah-ba-shik-a Nature Center at Battle Ground to learn about wetlands and local wildlife. While you are in Battle Ground you could travel out to Wolf Park and learn how to communicate for a "howl"ing good time. Travel on to Brookston to visit Twinrocker and see their handmade papers, as well as products. There are additional shops in this quaint town to stop in and visit.
